This 100 page A4 book marks fifty years since RSD last graced a Schools’ Cup final, a time when the so-called ‘country yokels’ refused to bow before the bigger Belfast schools. Between 1970 and 1976, through sheer will, fearless heart, and great coaching, boys turned themselves into giants of School's rugby

Much of this story is down to Max Watson, whose reports for The Courier captured not just the scorelines but the raw intensity of battle. Thanks go too, to other pupils and coaches who scribbled their accounts into school magazines, preserving each heroic tackle, each glorious try, and the dreams of a school that dared to defy expectation.

This is not just a book. It is a memory and a tribute to a golden era.
